Aspen Insurance Holdings Limited has announced that Aspen Insurance President and Chief Underwriting Officer David Cohen will now lead the day-to-day management of its insurance business. Cohen will report to Group CEO Chris O'Kane.
Cohen, who possesses more than 35 years of industry experience, joined Aspen Insurance in Nov. 2015 as president and chief underwriting officer. Prior to joining Aspen, he was President (U.S.) and Global Casualty Chief Underwriting Officer at Liberty International Underwriters.
Stephen Postlewhite, who has served as CEO of Aspen Insurance since May 2016, is leaving the company. Prior to serving in that capacity, he was CEO of Aspen Re, a position he held from September 2014.
"David is a strong and well-respected leader and I am confident that as we move forward, he will drive improvements across our insurance business," O'Kane said in a statement.
