The second day of the 2017 IRMI Construction Risk Conference began with a series of morning presentations at the JW Marriot in Indianapolis, Indiana.
At the general morning session, construction executive, best-selling author and motivational speaker Isaac Lidsky gave his presentation, "Eyes Wide Open."
Lidsky told a personal story about losing his vision, inspired IRMI attendees to consider their own responses to challenging situations, and offered tools to handle difficulties with awareness and accountability.
IRMI conference goers attended a number of sessions throughout the day before connecting with colleagues old and new at the networking social.

Safety Consultant Rob Berryman delivers an address "Active Shooter: Are You Prepared?" at one of the morning sessions. Berryman discussed the ways companies are handling this real threat to their workers' safety, and offered a list of tips on defense strategies and tactics to take in an active shooter scenario.

At "The Captive Decision" afternoon session, panelists Bruce Moldow, David E. Roberts, Brady Young and moderator Jack Gibson (left to right) discussed the decision-making process contractors should go through in evaluating whether and how to form a captive insurer, and offered attendees practical advice and insights into this complicated process.
