Data breaches, cyber attacks, and threats to Americans' personal information all seem to have become a regular part of the nation's daily news cycle. As Equifax's congressional hearings are held this week, we are reminded of the pressing dangers threatening the nation's businesses and citizens.
In response to the rise in cyber risk, businesses are reevaluating their practices, developing better, stronger approaches to managing risk. Risk managers, IT professionals, and others are constructing successful programs to protect their organizations from cyber security threats, and we want to honor them.
National Underwriter is looking to honor one winner with our second Excellence in Cyber Security Risk Management Award, and the Oct. 9 deadline to register is quickly approaching.
The award proudly recognizes those with outstanding risk control programs designed to continually protect an organization's sensitive data against cyber attacks. If you have a unique risk management approach or success story in how to counter cyber exposures, we'd like to hear about it — and so would our readers. Enter your company in the NationalUnderwriter Excellence in Cyber Security Risk Management Award program today!
The honor will be bestowed upon one risk manager/information security lead whose program has displayed effective, notable mitigation techniques that are proven to keep cyber risks at bay.
What do you have to do?
To nominate your company for an award, you must be a risk manager or someone who works in the risk management department of a U.S. company, responsible at least in part for the organization's cyber security program. You also must fill out an application, including a company profile, which will be kept confidential. There is no fee for entering your submission for this award.
Submissions must be received by Oct. 9, 2017, to be considered.
