Microsoft recently published a case study profiling Lockton Affinity's implementation of a new e-commerce platform. Based on the Instec Policy system and the Microsoft® Azure cloud, the platform enables the company to create and launch new insurance programs in four to six weeks, compared to the four to six months it took previously. Lockton Affinity, LLC, is part of Lockton, and designs property and casualty insurance plans that are custom-tailored to the needs of affinity groups such as nonprofits, professional organizations and trade associations.
Duck Creek Technologies has announced that Post Office Insurance, a subsidiary of Post Office Limited, the United Kingdom's largest retail network, has gone live with Duck Creek's Policy, Billing, and Rating solutions to support the growth and go-to-market strategy of its insurance business. Through this deployment, Post Office Insurance will capitalize on emerging market opportunities with the flexibility, agility, and control afforded by Duck Creek.
FRIDAY, the digital motor insurance insurer, and Guidewire Software, Inc., a provider of software products to general insurers, recently announced that FRIDAY is using Guidewire InsurancePlatform™ products to support its business processes and drive its digital insurance model. FRIDAY has already deployed Guidewire InsuranceSuite™ and Guidewire Rating Management™ as its platform for underwriting, policy administration, claims management, billing, and rating. FRIDAY, which is the German branch of Bâloise Assurances Luxembourg S.A., is also using Guidewire Digital Portals™ APIs to enhance its customers' digital experience.

The insurer also deployed Guidewire DataHub™and Guidewire InfoCenter™ as its data management and business intelligence solutions.
GrayMeta, a provider of professional media players and metadata solutions for content owners, and Valossa™, a video artificial intelligence (AI) company, have announced a partnership to jointly deliver enhanced video for contextual content search for customers that own and produce large volumes of video. "We are focused on delivering enhanced, intelligent metadata solutions that leverage powerful machine learning and AI technology, and delivering to a wide range of customers worldwide," said John Motz, CTO of GrayMeta. "We now feel that we are providing more value to our customers, who are creating and storing massive amounts of video that needs to be classified for ready access at any time."
