David Pieffer has been appointed to the newly created position of property & casualty insurance practice lead at J.D. Power. Pieffer joins J.D. Power from Samsung Fire & Marine Management Corp. where he served as president and CEO.
Jay Brown has been appointed to the newly created role of account ambassador for Member Insurance Agency Inc. Prior to his appointment, Brown served with Do it Best Corp. before retiring in December 2016.
Venture Programs has announced the addition of Brian Rawlings as senior underwriter to support FITLIFE, its new program for fitness, wellness and spa services. Rawlings comes to Venture from the Cincinnati Insurance Company in Fairfield, Ohio, where he worked as national program director.
Tom Temple has been appointed BOLT Solutions Inc.'s managing director of business development. Prior to joining BOLT, Temple served as EVP of sales and marketing for the Americas at Unirisx, a cloud-based property and casualty software provider.
Assurance has appointed Ross Cain risk management consultant. Prior to Assurance, Cain was a franchise owner of an independent insurance brokerage where he focused on providing insurance solutions to a variety of businesses in the Midwest.

Andrew Kurata has been appointed acting captive insurance administrator for the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Insurance Division. Kurata has been with the Insurance Division since 2011 as a captive insurance examiner and captive insurance program specialist.
Travel risk management company On Call International has appointed Ryan DeStefano vice president of security. DeStefano joins On Call from Liberty Mutual Insurance where he was the security director.
Manny Robinson has been appointed vice president, IT operations for Seibels. Robinson was previously director of partner sales, partner services and business development management manager for TSYS NetSpend Corporation & Skylight Financial in Austin, Texas.
Global law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP has added insurance regulatory attorney John A. Sebastinelli as shareholder to its Government Law & Policy and Insurance Regulatory & Transactions practices in the firm's San Francisco office. Sebastinelli previously worked at Michelman & Robinson.
Ben Tuttle has been promoted to vice president of inland marine underwriting of Tokio Marine America (TMA), a subsidiary of Tokio Marine Holdings. Prior to joining TMA earlier this year as assistant vice president, Tuttle served as a regional president at One Beacon Insurance Company.

Jonathan Liening has been appointed senior vice president, excess casualty for Brit Global Specialty USA (BGSU). Liening joins BGSU from Aspen Insurance, where he was most recently vice president, primary casualty.
The Arbella Insurance Group has promoted Ellen Mann to assistant vice president of human resources. Mann first joined in March 2007 as senior human resources business partner; by 2014, she advanced to director of human resources.
Neil Monahan has been appointed senior vice president, professional liability for AXIS Re, a business segment of AXIS Capital Holdings Limited. Prior to AXIS, he was head of broker relations, professional liability lines at Swiss Re.
