The second full day at RIMS 2017 was full of educational sessions, productive meetings and lots of fun on the exhibit hall floor at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

Tuesday morning began with a breakfast that honored RIMS 2017 Risk Manager of the Year winner Loren Nickel, director of business risk and insurance at Google and RIMS Risk Management Honor Roll inductees Benjamin Evans, executive director, Office of Risk Management and Insurance at the University of Pennsylvania; Juliana J. Keaton, director of insurance at CSX Transportation, Inc.; and Scot Schwarting, director of risk management at Whirlpool Corporation.
Throughout the day visitors attended educational sessions including “Two Worlds Joined: Risk and Compliance,” a top session of the day, according to RIMS. Jennifer Santiago of Novartis and Lance Ewing of Cotton Holdings provided attendees with a breakdown of the similarities and differences between the roles of compliance professional and risk manager.

Technology was key at Travelers Cos.'s booth at RIMS. On one end, attendees were invited to try flying a small drone — a task that as many attendees found out is not as easy as it looks!

On the other side of the booth, attendees were invited to try on a vest designed to aid workers returning to heavy-lifting jobs after an injury. With the vest on, attendees were given heavy objects to lift and test how the vest helps make strenuous tasks much easier on strained bodies.

Tuesday at NovaCare's booth, attendees had the opportunity to take pictures with ESPN Analyst Ron Jaworski and former Philadelphia Eagles Special Teams Captain Vince Papale. Later that afternoon, the booth hosted a second photo opportunity with Chris Maragos and Trey Burton from the Eagles.

Those who stopped at DataDimensions' booth were treated to an amusing magic routine.

Applied Underwriters invited attendees to take a picture with the world's biggest bobblehead. Check out pictures under the Twitter hashtag #AUBIGDOG.

At FM Global's booth, attendees were given a comprehensive introduction to its Global Flood Map, which provides a worldwide view of moderate- and high-hazard flood zones across the globe.
