XL Catlin's insurance operations has appointed Nancy Bewlay global chief underwriting officer, casualty insurance, effective April 17.

In her new role, Bewlay assumes underwriting and portfolio management for all of XL Catlin’s casualty insurance coverages globally. She will be based in Stamford, Connecticut and report to Neil Robertson, chief executive, insurance underwriting.

Bewlay joins XL Catlin with more than 25 years of experience in reinsurance with a concentration in primary and excess specialty casualty lines.
