The board of directors of Tampa-based homeowners' and reinsurance company HCI Group, Inc. said it has authorized a plan to repurchase up to $20 million of the company's common shares during 2017, subject to market conditions. The plan permits the company to periodically repurchase shares for cash in open market purchases, block transactions and privately negotiated transactions in accordance with applicable federal securities laws.

Duck Creek also said it has acquired Charlotte, North Carolina-based insurance data management solution company Yodil, LLC. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
Chicago-based insurer Ryan Specialty Group said it has acquired Stamford, Connecticut-based Navigators' insurance agency operations of in Sweden and Denmark. Sverker Edstrom will continue to lead the Stockholm operation and Thomas Harrild will remain responsible for the Copenhagen office under RSG.
Memphis, Tennessee-based Sedgwick Claims Management Services Inc. said its structured settlements business, Galaher Settlements and Insurance Services, Inc., has been acquired by Aliso Viejo, California-based Ringler Associates, Inc. The transaction closed Dec. 31, 2016.
Atlanta-based insurance legal services provider PT&C|LWG Forensic Consulting announced it has changed its name to Envista Forensics, effective Jan. 1, 2017.
