People on the move in the P&C insurance industry: Sept. 23, 2016

San Mateo, California-based insurance software company Cyence said it has named Jennifer A. Livingstone vice president of business development. Livingstone joins from American International Group, where she was senior vice president and head of broker engagement and channel management. 

The Alexandria, Virginia-based Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America said it has promoted Jennifer McPhillips to vice president for federal government affairs from assistant vice president. She joiend the professional group in 2005.

Farmington Hills, Michigan-based specialty insurer H.W. Kaufman Financial Group said it has appointed Marc Fuhrman national relationship manager. He joins from CRC Insurance Services Inc., where he was senior vice president of national agency relations. Fuhrman will be based in Los Angeles.

Morristown, New Jersey-based insurance software, consulting, and services provider Majesco said it has appointed Wes Thompson to its board of directors. He joins from Sun Life Financial, where he was president.

Austin, Texas-based car insurance comparison marketplace Zebra said it has named Steve Beard vice president of sales operations. He joins from Answer Financial, where he was director of carrier relations and development

Chicago-based insurance brokerage Hub International Ltd. said it has named Marc Cohen, currently regional president of HUB East Region, president of HUB International; Lawrence Lineker, currently president of HUB Canada, executive vice president of HUB International; and Richard Gulliver, currently president of HUB International, vice chairman of HUB International. All appointments become effective Jan. 1, 2017, the company said. 

Hartford, Connecticut-based independent insurance brokerage XS Brokers said it has named Jason Kent a broker in its Connecticut office. He joins from Chubb Insurance.  

Columbia, South Carolina-based insurance software company Duck Creek Technologies said it has named Vincent Chippari chief financial officer. Chippari joins from Interactive Data Corp., where he served as managing director and CFO. 

Jersey City, New Jersey-based data analytics provider Verisk Insurance Solutions said it has appointed Elizabeth Casas managing director of its new energy and insurance unit. She joins from Swiss Re Houston, where she was vice president and senior energy underwriter. 

Jacksonville, Florida-based property and casualty insurance retailer Brightway Insurance said it has named Courtney Heidelberg public relations and communications manager. Heidelberg joins from On 3 Public Relations, where she served as director of accounts.

London-based specialist lines underwriting agency CFC Underwriting said it has appointed Margaret Murphy claims director. Murphy joins from Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP, where she was a partner. Murphy will be based in London. 

London-based Neon said it has appointed Andrew Thornton underwriter and solicitor of mergers and acquisition tax insurance. Thornton joins from Dentons LLP, where he served as tax partner. 

Aon Risk Solutions, the risk management business of London-based Aon plc, said it has made several leadership appointments within its U.S. Construction Services Group: 

• Jim Gloriod was promoted to president from resident managing director of the St. Louis office. He will continue to be based in St. Louis. 

• Jason Hupp was promoted to resident managing director for the Greater New York region from leader of the account executive practice at the Dallas office. 

• Scott Devine was appointed southeast regional director of Aon Private Risk Management. He joins from Willis Towers Watson, where he was vice president. 

• Tracy Krause was promoted to vice president in the Omaha office. She joined the company in 2011.

• Jane Ely was promoted to vice president and broker in the Omaha office from broker.

• Kevin Weiler was promoted to vice president in the Omaha office from broker and account executive. 

• Nichole Della Vella was appointed vice president and producer in the Cleveland office. She joins from the United Church Insurance Association, where she was vice president of sales and marketing.

Palm Beach Gardens, Florida-based homeowners' insurer Olympus Insurance Co. said it has promoted Bradley Burton to executive vice president of underwriting and business development from vice president of underwriting. He joined the company in 2007.
