Schaumburg, Illinois-based insurance brokerage Assurance said it has promoted Anthony Way to senior vice president and practice leader from account executive. He joined the company in 2010.
Birmingham, Alabama-based Infinity Property and Casualty Corp. said it has appointed Richard J. Bielen to its board of directors. Bielen is president and chief operating officer of life insurance and investment products company Protective Life Corp.
London-based specialist lines underwriting agency CFC Underwriting said it has appointed Anthony Hess to the newly created role of head of global cyber incident response. He joins from KPMG's cyber practice.
Miami-based auto insurance carrier Windhaven Insurance said it has named Ben Turner president. He joins from Texas Mutual Workers' Compensation Insurance, where he was senior vice president and chief actuary.
Munich, Germany-based insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty said it has made the following appointments:
- Paul O'Neill will succeed Bill Scaldaferri as chief underwriting officer specialty, effective Oct. 1, subject to regulatory approval. Based in London, he currently serves as AGCS' global head of marine and energy.
- Bill Scaldaferri will take over AGCS board responsibility for North America from Art Moossmann as of July 1. Based in London, Scaldaferri will also hand over his current board responsibility for Allianz Risk Transfer to Chief Underwriting Officer Corporate Hartmut Mai.
- Simon Buxton, currently global head of reinsurance, will succeed O'Neill as global head of marine and energy on Oct. 1. Prior to joining AGCS, Buxton was head of reinsurance solutions for Allianz Risk Transfer.
Austin, Texas-based Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas said it has appointed Denisse Orellana director of human resources. She joins from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, where she was a human resources professional.
