The Atlanta Chapter of RIMS will hold its 36th annual educational conference on Feb. 25 and 26.

The theme of the conference is “Envisioning the Future of Risk.”

Collin Hite, an attorney at Hirschler Fleischer in Richmond, Va., will give the opening keynote on the “Top 10 Coverage Issues that Keep Risk Managers Up at Night.”

Chris Maleno, senior vice president of Chubb Group and division president of Chubb's North America Major Accounts, and Todd Jones, co-leader for North America at Willis Towers Watson, will discuss the “Future of Commercial Insurance Markets” at the luncheon keynote.

Breakout sessions will cover unmanned aircraft systems (drones), workplace violence/active shooter training, strategic enterprise risk management, cyber risks, travel crisis management, workplace evolution, fire protection engineering, global supply chain risk management, emerging risks, and claim and litigation strategies.

The Atlanta Chapter of RIMS also plans to honor an outstanding risk managment and insurance professional with its Walter H. Buce Jr. Memorial Award. Nominations for this year's award close on Friday, Jan. 29.

The conference is to be held at the Westin Atlanta Perimeter North. Registration cost is $225 for both days. The deadline to register is Feb. 19.

The Atlanta RIMS chapter uses proceeds from the conference to support risk management scholarships. Last year, the chapter raised $55,000 for the Spencer Educational Foundation, the University of Georgia and Georgia State University.
