Johnston, R.I.-based global middle-market property insurer Affiliated FM Insurance Co. said it has rebranded from Affiliated FM to AFM. The company also said it has introduced a policy that features enhanced cyber and fire coverage.
Fort Myers, Fla.-based Disabled Veterans Insurance Careers Inc. and the Austin, Texas-based National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research said they have entered into a collaborative agreement aimed at increasing career opportunities for all veterans.
Jacksonville, Fla.-based property and casualty insurance company Main Street America Group said it donated a total of $28,500 to nonprofits in each of its eight regional office markets through its Holiday Honorarium Program. Main Street America also said its annual holiday food and toy drive resulted in donations of nearly 2,000 pounds of nonperishable goods and 600 toys.
Jericho, N.Y.-based J.S. Held LLC, a national construction consulting company, said it has acquired Hackensack, N.J.-based construction and mitigation consulting company Wakelee Associates LLC. Timothy Woods, Wakelee's president, joins J.S. Held as executive vice president. Financial terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.
