Itasca, Ill.-based insurance brokerage and risk management services company Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said it has acquired retail insurance broker Hawk Agency Inc. in Peoria, Ill. President Thomas D. Fliege and his associates will continue to work in their current location, under the direction of Michael Pesch, head of Gallagher's Midwest region retail property/casualty brokerage operation. Terms were not disclosed.
Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. also said it has acquired retail insurance broker Brown Hobbs & McMurray Insurance in Urbana, Ill. Partners Thomas Brown, Paul Hobbs, William Hobbs, Dick McMurray and Rich McMurray will continue to operate in Urbana under the direction of Pesch. Terms were not disclosed.
New York City-based insurance software provider Zags said it has launched a new website, which features a journey section to help insurers identify answers to common difficulty areas involving the operation of their core systems.
