Charlotte, N.C.-based Property/casualty insurance and group benefits provider AmWINS has announced the appointment of new senior executives:
Scott Lewis has been named senior vice president and casualty broker. Based out of Grand Rapids, Mich., he joins from Swett and Crawford.
John Conway has been appointed vice president at AmWINS Brokerage of New York. He joins from Kerwick & Curran, where he served as vice president. Conway specializes in property and casualty production.
Drew Roughton has been named vice president and senior transportation underwriter at AmWINS Transportation Underwriters. He joins from Robert Moreno Insurance, where he was the commercial lines underwriting manager. Roughton is based in Santa Ana, Calif., and will focus on programs for environmental material haulers and petroleum transporters.
Des Plaines, Ill.-based Applied Client Network, the international users group of Applied Systems software, announced that Alan Harkabus, manager of personal lines and claims at Hanover, N.H.-based A.B. Gile, will assume the position of board chairman in 2016, and Amber Bosma, CIC, CISR, secretary-treasurer and owner at Prins Insurance in Sanborn, Iowa, will become vice chairwoman. Both were elected to the posts at the association's recent annual meeting in Las Vegas.
Munich, Germany-based Allianz Group’s specialist corporate insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty announced the appointment of Brad Steele as head of property for Canada. He from FM Global in Ontario, where he was an account manager. Steele is based in Toronto.
Schaumberg, Ill.-based insurance brokerage firm Assurance has named Michele McDermott senior vice president of human resources. She joins from National Expess, where she was senior vice president of human resources and safety.
London-based Pioneer Underwriters announced the appointment of David Foster as group chief financial officer, effective March 7. He will join the board of Pioneer Underwriting Holdings Ltd. and relevant subsidiary boards, subject to regulatory approval. Foster had been CFO of Catlin Group’s Bermuda operation and Catlin's group financial controller.
Greenwich, Conn.-based business intelligence and analytics firm RiskMatch announced that Mark A. Cenit has joined the firm as client engagement manager. Cenit joins from American International Group, where he held a variety of management positions in underwriting and business development.
