The Bankruptcy Subcommittee of the American Bar Association's Fidelity & Surety Law Committee has named Attorney Manju Gupta co-chair. Gupta's focus will be on complex bankruptcy proceedings and commercial litigation. She is an associate in the Cleveland office of business advisory law firm McDonald Hopkins, where she represents debtors, creditors, creditor committees, liquidating trustees and commercial sureties in business reorganization matters.
Canton, Mass.-based insurance provider Boston Mutual Life Insurance Co. announced that Dave Cirulis, RHU, has joined the company as regional vice president of sales for the Midwest and mid-Atlantic regions. He joins from Lincoln Financial Group, where he was vice president for voluntary marketplace strategies.
Aon Benfield, the global reinsurance intermediary and capital advisor of London-based Aon plc, has appointed Russell Nevard as chief commercial officer of its Global ReSpecialty division, effective April 2016. He will be based in London. Nevard joins from Willis Re Aerospace, where he was managing director.
Richfield, Ohio-based National Interstate Corp.'s board of directors has promoted Anthony J. Mercurio to president. Mercurio has served as executive vice president and chief operating officer since Jan. 1, 2013. He will continue to serve as chief operating officer. David Michelson will continue to serve as chief executive officer of National Interstate. Mercurio has held numerous management and executive positions since joining National Interstate in 1997.
Aspen U.S. Insurance, part of the insurance segment of Bermuda-based Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd., announced that David Adamczyk has been appointed executive vice president of its new railroad business line, effective Nov. 30. Adamczyk most recently served as senior vice president of the Railroad Department at Liberty International Underwriters, and has prior experience at Arch, Zurich, and CNA.
Munich, Germany-based Allianz Group's specialist corporate insurer Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty announced that Rani Christie has been named head of global partnerships, effective Jan. 1. He joins from Euler Hermes California, where he was managing director. Christie will be based in Atlanta.
Beachwood, Ohio-based outsourcing and consulting services and operations software provider Vantage Agora has named Carlos Fuentes to the new post of senior vice president for corporate and government affairs.
New York-based NCOIL legislators at their San Antonio Annual Meeting announced a new slate of officers to lead NCOIL in 2016. Sen. Travis Holdman (IN) was appointed as president, Rep. Steve Riggs (KY) as vice president, Sen. Jason Rapert (AR) as secretary, and Rep. Bill Botzow (VT) as treasurer.
