ACE Environmental Risk has released a new advisory, “Premises Pollution Liability Coverage: Essential Protection, Operational Risks.” The purpose of the advisory is to help businesses understand current and developing operational and historical environmental liabilities, provide essential recommendations on how companies both in the United States and abroad can best protect themselves against a new and wider range of pollution exposures, understand changing regulatory requirements and examine current insurance programs to ensure the appropriate coverages are in place. Ace also broadened its Premises Pollution Liability coverage options to help organizations protect against operational pollution exposures.

All Risks Ltd. announced the acquisition of Tower Program Insurance Services, Inc. Tower founders, Patrick Shea and Scott Hermesmeyer will assume positions at All Risks as Directors of the National Tower Construction Program, while continuing to operate from Austin. They will be responsible for marketing and underwriting Tower's newly-developed national program for the tower construction industry, focusing on tower erection, maintenance and service companies; targeting telecom, water storage and wind energy construction industries.

Crawford & Company (Crawford) announced its selection as an honoree for IDG's CIO magazine's 28th annual CIO 100 awards, for the second consecutive year. Crawford is one of the 100 innovative organizations that received this prestigious award. Crawford's CIO award was based on its internally developed desktop, mobile and social business process applications, known as Crawford iQ, for claims adjusting management.

U.S.-based insurance agencies and syndicates from Lloyd's of London will meet in Philadelphia, from October 12-14, for a first-of-a-kind forum, to network, share ideas and facilitate new business. The growing list of Lloyd's syndicates and strategic partners that have already committed to participate in the inaugural CHART-Exchange includes BRIT PLC, Wilson Elser, Iris Insurance Brokers Ltd., State National Companies, ProgramBusiness (Neilson Marketing Services), PLCommunications, and NSM Insurance Group. 

Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC (MMA) announced the acquisition of Tequesta Insurance Advisors. With about $10 million in annual revenues and 50 employees, Tequesta adds additional property/casualty capabilities and personal lines expertise to MMA's Florida region. All of Tequesta's employees have joined MMA and will continue to operate out of the agency's Tequesta, Florida office.

Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC (MMA) announced the acquisition of Cline Wood Agency, a suburban Kansas City-based independent specialty insurance agency. All of Cline Wood's 73 employees and leadership, including founders John Cline and Mike Wood and CEO Carol Barnett, have joined MMA's upper Midwest region, which is under the leadership of regional CEO Bill Jeatran.
