Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC, a subsidiary of Marsh, acquired St. Louis-based J.W. Terrill, one of the largest independent agencies in the Midwest.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. With this deal, Marsh & McLennan, a provider of commercial P&C, personal lines and employee benefits, grows its national footprint into Missouri and brings its risk management expertise to the middle market.

Founded in 1972, J.W. Terrill provides commercial and personal insurance, surety bonds, risk management and loss control, employee benefits, and benefits administration throughout the country. With nearly 200 employees, it generates $32 million in revenues. All of J.W. Terrill's employees and leadership, including CEO Andrew Thome, will join Marsh & McLennan Agency's upper Midwest region and continue to operate out of its office in St. Louis.
