Mutual of Enumclaw deployed Guidewire BillingCenter to manage its billing operations, including agency and direct bill for all of its lines of business.
The software automates the billing cycle (including payment and deliquency plans), manages agent commissions, and enables integration with external payment systems. It is available as a standalone system or as part of Guidewire's InsureanceSuite.
The P&C insurer, which specializes in coverages for individuals, families, farms and businesses, says that it selected BillingCenter to generate new business and to consolidate its two billing systems. Mutual of Enumclaw created an "on-demand" migration proccess for its policyholders, based on when accounts came up for renewal.
"The successful implementation of BillingCenter has been a huge milestone for us," says David Wilson, chief information officer, Mutual of Enumclaw. "Leveraging BillingCenter's flexibility and Guidewire's agile implementation process has enabled us to meet our specific needs and provide the best service possible to our policyholders and independent agents."
In addition, the insurer says the software integration helped lower its IT costs and improve customer service.
Guidewire, which designs products to help P&C insurers replace legacy systems, says that BillingCenter and can be integrated into legacy systems and third-party applications.
