The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents will award Congressman Peter King (R-N.Y.) with the 2015 Legislator of the Year award. The award will be given on March 26 at the 2015 Federal Legislative Summit.

JLT Re North America appointed Matthew Robertson as senior vice president of the company this week. Robertson has former experience at Gen Re, Aon Re, Everest Re and Guy Carpenter.
Berkley Mid-Atlantic Group appointed Gavin Tamalas as assistant vice president and underwriting manager for the Capital region. Tamalas has former experience managing commercial lines underwriting for the Southeastern U.S.
Lockton hired Michael Appaneal as vice president of its Philadelphia office this week. Appaneal will provide risk management solutions to Lockton's expanding client base.

Palomar Specialty Insurance Company partnered up with TriCoast Insurance Services, LLC to provide residential windstorm-hurricane insurance to policyholders in Hawaii. The product is a stand-alone hurricane coverage and will be offered through local independent agents.
