Nicholas Tunno joined Century Risk Advisors as an insurance advisor for its transportation division. In this role, Mr. Tunno will work with clients to create complete risk management and insurance programs tailor-made to fit the needs of the transportation industry.

New Programs

ProHost USA added a Wine Bar Program to its extensive range of insurance program servicing restaurant niche areas. The new program will target accounts that offer a wide selection of wines by the glass, and also offer a robust food menu. The program includes property, general liability, liquor liability, equipment breakdown, crime, auto and restaurant enhancements, as well as other optional coverages.

 

Mergers & Acquisitions

Hub International Ltd. entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the assets of Laurus Strategies, a Chicago-based employee benefits, human resources, and human resource information system global benefits consulting business.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. acquired Insurance Assocs. Inc., located in Boulder and Estes Park, Colo.

Confie Seguros acquired The Insurance Market Agency Inc. in Tonawanda, N.Y. and Action Auto Insurance Agency Inc. in Cheektowaga, N.Y. Both agencies have been part of the Buffalo community for many years, and offer a variety of insurance products. Confie Seguros also acquired Fast Quote Insurance of Ontario, Calif., which specializes in auto insurance and serving customers from its five Southern California offices.
