The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF) will host its 8th Annual Northeast Benefit Dinner on Wednesday, December 10, honoring Munich Re for philanthropic leadership, and featuring appearances and addresses from notable celebrities.
The event will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the historic Waldorf Astoria hotel in New York City. The proceeds from the dinner fund the Northeast Division's community grants program, and will go to regional charities that champion causes related to education, at-risk children, the environment and disaster preparedness.
IICF will honor Munich Re at the benefit dinner with the IICF "Double I" Award for influence in the industry and impact in the community. Other notable events and appearances include former New York Yankee Bernie Williams, actress and spokesperson for Jumpstart Bridget Moynahan and actor/director Jeffery Donovan, who is also the founder of the Jeffrey Donovan Scholarship for the Arts and a board member for the Family Reach Foundation.
These special guests will be accepting grants on behalf of favorite charities.
"The IICF Northeast Benefit Dinner has already enabled the insurance industry to collectively give back over $4.5 million to our community in the New York tri-state area," said Lisa Tepper, regional president for Travelers and board chair for the IICF's Northeast Division.
"On December 10, over 1,000 insurance industry colleagues will join together to continue the good work that has benefited thousands of families."
Tickets for the fundraiser are available by contacting the IICF benefit office at (212) 763-8597 or IICF@cmevents.net.
