Aon plc announced Andy Weitz will assume a newly created position as senior vice president of global marketing and communications. Mr. Weitz will lead Aon's external corporate communications and oversee corporate citizenship. He will also be responsible for defining the company's content marketing strategy and building an integrated approach to product marketing.

AssuredPartners Inc. acquired Hunt Valley, Maryland-based Crawford Advisors LLC through its subsidiary, AssuredPartners of Maryland. Crawford Advisors specializes in employee benefits and compliance solutions for mid-market and large companies, reporting approximately $12 million in revenue. As part of the acquisition, 60 Crawford Advisors employees will join AssuredPartners, and local operations will continue under the leadership of Reagan Crawford, managing member of Crawford Advisors.
