RIMS Executive Director Mary Roth has been named president of the International Federation of Risk and Insurance Management Associations (IFRIMA).
IFRIMA is an international umbrella organization made up of risk management associations that represent 20 organizations in more than 30 countries.
Roth will hold the IFRIMA position in addition to her current role with RIMS. She has served as IFRIMA's executive vice president for the past two years and has been involved with the organization since the early 1990s. RIMS has been a member of IFRIMA since its inception.
Roth says, “It is an honor to take on this new responsibility and I look forward to continuing this important engagement with other association leaders to achieve our shared goal of advancing risk management and serving our respective members and customers.”
She adds, “Throughout the years, IFRIMA has provided me with invaluable resources, connections and a global perspective on risk management that has directly contributed to the valuable opportunities we deliver to RIMS members and our constituents around the world.”
Roth joined RIMS in 1985, and has served in such roles as assistant director of research, director of membership and chapter services and chief operating officer. In October 2004, she was named executive director.
