It is only July 2, and General Motors has already surpassed Ford Motor's record of 23.3 million U.S. vehicle recalls in a single calendar year (2001) with 25.7 million recalled in 2014 so far. GM recalled 8.45 million more vehicles this week, bringing its total number of recalled vehicles to almost 29 million.
That number looks like a lot when you read it and sounds like a lot when you say it. Incredibly, it is even bigger when you see it.
