Chinese insurance company Ancheng Insurance is offering World Cup "disappointment" insurance policies to soccer fans who want to protect themselves against the agony of elimination from the tournament, says The Telegraph.
The policies are not available for fans of every country in the tournament, however. Supporters of Argentina, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Brazil can purchase the policies, says The Telegraph. For 8 yuan ($1.30), fans can purchase a policy that will pay out up to 49 yuan (approximately $8) if their team is eliminated from the competition.
Ancheng, located in Chongqing, China, is selling the policies on Taobao, China's version of eBay, says The Telegraph.
