An inflatable bounce house got caught in a gust of wind in upstate New York on Monday, spiraling 50 feet into the air and serioulsy injuring three children who were inside at the time. According to the South Glens Falls Post-Star, the kids fell out of the inflatable when it was about 15 feet in the air.

"It was like a horror movie," a witness told the newspaper. "It just kept going up and up. It cleared our building and the trees."

A photo of the incident, shown at the left and after the children had fallen out, went viral on social media on Tuesday.

According to reports, the 10 foot x 10 foot Little-Tykes brand bounce house was staked down when the incident occured but broke free of its restraints in the wind. However, if erected properly and with the proper safety precautions observed, the manufacturer says it should be impossible for this sort of thing to happen.
