Four words that don't belong together? Snow. On. Mother's. Day.

Severe weather struck across much of the Midwest and Western United States over the weekend, with tornadoes touching down in parts of Missouri, Kansas and Nebraksa and flooding impacting communities from the central Plains to the Great Lakes.

And, oddly enough, the storms brough heavy spring snow to parks of the Rockies on Mother's Day.

Tornadoes damaged as many as 300 homes outside of Kansas City, and part of Nebraska were hard hit, but no deaths or injuries have so far been reported as a result of the storms.
