Former American International Group executive Charles Williamson has been hired as executive vice president of field operations and corporate development with risk and insurance advisor Crystal & Co.
Williamson was most recently president of consumer lines in the Americas for AIG P&C from May 2010 to October 2012.
Before that, Williamson was president of AIG Private Client Group from February 2007 to May 2010.
In all, Williamson spent about 25 years with AIG. His LinkedIn profile says he “guided [AIG PCG] through the 2008 financial crisis, leading crisis management and serving as media spokesperson in [a] massive response that rallied and maintained confidence of employees, brokers, and consumers [to] keep business both intact and strong.”
Crystal says Williamson will report to CEO James W. Crystal and he will join the New York firm's executive committee, leading growth and development of national branch operations and executing its regional expansion strategy.
“We are committed to accelerated growth and development of our operations across the country, and are very excited to have an executive with the experience and track record of Charles join our team,” says James W. Crystal, chairman and CEO.
Crystal & Co. was founded in 1933 and offers clients risk management, insurance brokerage, and employee benefits consulting needs.
