The one-year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy serves as a powerful reminder that preparedness is a vital component in protection against natural disasters. To provide consumers with a few key preparation recommendations, the American Insurance Association (AIA) has produced an infographic, "4 Tips to Protect Your Property."
"Preparation is critical to protecting yourself and your property from natural catastrophes," said Jim Whittle, AIA's assistant general counsel & chief claims counsel. "Policyholders should not only have a plan to prepare and protect their property, but also need to make sure they have the right insurance coverage. We encourage property owners to take the necessary precautions in advance of the next storm."
