XL Group's Political Risk and Trade Credit business is expanding into the Supplier Trade Credit market with the addition of Jeffrey Abramson as Senior Vice President and Global Product Leader. 

Jeff reports to Richard Maxwell, Chief Underwriting Officer and Global Head for XL Group's Political Risk and Trade Credit business. According to Richard, "Supplier Trade Credit is a natural extension of our existing PRTC business and we're excited to enlist Jeff's expertise to guide our entry and growth in the market."

"Our brokers and clients, representing various industries, have been looking to us to help them minimize risks associated with trade receivables. With our analytical underwriting and risk management skills, global platform, XL's strong corporate relationships, and now, Jeff's leadership, we are well-equipped and well-positioned to do so," added Richard.  "Having met all regulatory approvals needed in both the US and the EU, we're ready to immediately provide trade receivable insurance in those markets."

Jeff brings more than 20 years of professional experience both in the public and private sectors. He joins XL from Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) where he most recently served as Acting Head of the insurance and guarantees underwriting activities, including several highly successful Short Term Credit Insurance programs. He previously was principal at DFI International, a private sector consulting firm, and a Research Associate at the Center for Strategic International Studies. Jeff is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He earned a MA in National Security Studies from Georgetown University and a MS in Finance from George Washington University.  He is a CFA charter holder and a member of the CFA Institute, a global association of investment professionals that sets the standard for professional excellence and credentials.
