Swett & Crawford has announced the formation of a Construction Industry Group to focus on providing insurance services to retail brokers and their clients who have construction-related exposures and issues.

The group will be headed by Anthony Mastrolia, executive vice president of construction, and will include brokers with construction capabilities from different offices throughout the country. By combining all product lines including Casualty, Property and Professional Services, the team will be capable of addressing a multitude of exposures associated with the construction industry.

Focus will include contractor practice programs as well as project specific products for owners and developers. By working closely with other Swett & Crawford industry groups such as Public Entity, Healthcare and Energy, the Construction Industry Group will be well positioned to provide solutions for construction risks faced by a broad range of entities.

An emphasis will also be placed on developing a coordinated approach with insurers using Swett & Crawford's understanding of the construction industry and the capability to provide the coverage terms and conditions required.

“We know that the ability to bring industry specific products by our skilled experts, in a coordinated approach, will set us apart from the traditional delivery model of the wholesale brokerage industry,” said Michael Ruhe President of Sales.
