Ace Commercial Risk Services Makes Appointments

Ace Group says its small business division has appointed Tom McGrath as senior vice president, head of programs. 

McGrath, joining Ace from Munich Re America, will oversee all underwriting, marketing, and operations for Ace Commercial Risk Services admitted and non-admitted program insurance business and manage a team of underwriters from Philadelphia. He was head of primary insurance programs since 2008 for Munich Re and has 26 years of industry experience.

Reporting to McGrath is Bill Franchi, also from Muncih Re, who has been appointed senior vice president of programs. Franchi will assume responsibility for profitably managing a book of programs at Ace Commercial Risk Services. Franchi was primary insurance program manager for Munch Re and has 20 years in the industry.

Bill Sharp, 32-year Ace veteran, has been appointed COO of programs for the U.S. and Canada. He has lead the Ace Commercial Risk Services Programs group since 2010. McGrath and Sharp will report to David Lupica, division president, Ace Commercial Risk Services.
