The Hartford says it has extended its affinity partnership with AARP to offer home and auto products to its members.
The Connecticut-based insurer has enjoyed a long history with the organization for members age 50 and over. This extension marks the fourth in the relationship started in 1984.
The partnership will now last until the start of 2023, according to Hartford.
"Our exclusive home and auto insurance program for AARP members is a strong platform for the continued growth of our personal lines business," says Andy Napoli, president of consumer markets and enterprise business services, in a statement.
With the Hartford Center for Mature Market Excellence, the company has long been a the head of researching and understanding the needs of the 50-plus population. Most recently the company, with the MIT AgeLab, released the results of a survey on what technologies this demographic want in their cars.
The AARP Automobile and Homeowners Insurance Program offers auto and home insurance to AARP members as well as personal umbrella and coverage for motor homes and off-road recreational vehicles.
