Aspen US Insurance Expands Marine Capabilities

Aspen US Insurance says it is adding to its Marine insurance capabilities offering Brown Water Hull, Protection & Indemnity, and Marine Liabilities coverages. 

These new product offerings are the result of the marine unit's existing business relationship with Axiom Insurance Management, a managing general agency based in Atlanta. Aspen US Insurance currently distributes recreational marine products through Axiom.

This increased offering will be effective October 1, 2012. The primary emphasis will be on commercial marine businesses in the continental US. 

“Aspen US Marine has been providing ocean cargo and inland marine products to our select retail distributors since 2010, and now the expanded relationship with Axiom enhances our ability to offer more robust solutions,” said Rich Soja, executive vice president, Marine, Aspen US Insurance. 

This increased offering will be effective October 1, 2012. The primary emphasis will be on commercial marine businesses in the continental US.

The Aspen US Insurance complete Marine product offering includes: property, inland marine, recreational marine, marine general liability, bumbershoot, and hull and protection & indemnity coverages. 

Through Axiom, Aspen US Marine through Axiom will be writing US inland and coastal brown water hull accounts and commercial marine operations such as ship repairers, stevedores, terminals, wharfingers and charterers.
