Thus far in 2012, 80 percent of all Workers' Comp claims at Kelly Services Inc. have been reported within five days of the injury. This time period compares with an average of nine days to reach that 80 percent figure for the entire book of business at Kelly's third-party administrator, ESIS.
How does Kelly outclass the competition? Changing from a process that involved faxing first reports of injury to using toll-free and Internet reporting helped produce this enviable reporting record (see chart).
