Victoria, Australia was struck by the largest earthquake to hit the region in more than a century on Tuesday morning, but AIR Worldwide says there should be no significant insured losses.
The magnitude 5.3 quake struck near the town of Moe on the country's southeast coast, AIR says. The shallow quake struck at a depth of 6.15 miles and caused shaking for about 35 seconds, residents say.
Disaster Report chronicled four aftershocks felt around the epicenter in La Trobe Valley, says, and that Melbourne Airport grounded planes for up to 10 minutes.
There is no current tsunami warning to Australia from the joint Australian Tsunami-Warning Center.
