Willis Re appoints CEO: Willis Re International, the reinsurance arm of Willis Group Holdings, promoted Tony Melia to CEO, effective immediately. Melia has worked at Willis Re for 24 years. Based in London, Melia will lead the International Business Unit, covering Europe, Asia, Latin America and emerging business markets.
Sterling hires new senior VPs: Sterling & Sterling hired both Brian Golick and Camille Mastronardi as senior vice presidents. Both new hires will oversee relationship management and new business development, as well as the firm's employee benefits practice. Golick will be based at the Saddle Brook, N.J., office and Mastronardi at the Anenel, N.J., office.
Narragansett Bay appoints manager: Narragansett Bay Insurance Co. promoted John Rafferty to Northern Massachusetts territory manager. Rafferty has worked with Narragansett Bay for 4 years on product development, pricing, business development and agency relations.
Fisher Brown joins LexisNexis Exchange: Fisher Brown Bottrell Insurance joined the LexisNexis Insurance Exchange, a program of LexisNexis Risk Solutions. Both companies plan to work together to improve collaboration with carriers on desired risks, reduce data entry time and minimize submission errors.

TDECU acquires two agencies: Texas-based TDECU Insurance Agency bought Assurance Insurance Agency and Burridge Insurance Agency. Not long ago, TDECU also purchased Associated Insurance Agency.
