Lockton names vice president of Dallas office and expands services: Lockton has announced that Andrew Cahn has joined the agency as vice president and producer of its Dallas office. Cahn's role will be to specialize in business development and client advocacy in p-c. He brings more than 20 years of industry experience and had expertise in structuring, developing and managing complex risk management programs. Nicholas Dobelbower has joined Lockton as senior consultant and his central role is providing strategic international employee benefits guidance to clients.

New education director named at NAPSLO: The National Assn. of Professional Surplus Lines Offices named Randall D. Jones its new education director. Jones will be responsible for exploring and developing educational programs.

Mergers and Acquisitions

March acquires Seitlin Insurance: Marsh & McLennan Agency continues to build its brand with acquisition of Seitlin Insurance. With this acquisition the agency gains $24 million in revenues and 119 employees in 3 Florida offices—Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.

Two Massachusetts agencies merge: Farrell Backlund Insurance Agency and Richardson-Cuddy Insurance Agency have merged to form one of the largest p-c in southeastern Massachusetts. Both agencies will maintain its names but now offer a wider range of services.

New Policies

PHLY expands its services: Philadelphia Insurance Cos. announced the expansion of its chiropractor professional liability insurance in 27 states. Arkansas, Georgia, Iowa, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada and North Carolina are among the newly improved states. This coverage is expected to expand to more states before the year's end.
