National flexible staffing firm Mom Corps released findings on a survey conducted by Harris Interactive about adults' preferences on workplace flexibility and work/life balance. The survey consulted 1,071 working adults nationwide.
Two in five (42 percent) working adults are willing to give up some percentage of their salaries for more flexibility at work. The study found that two times as many men (12 percent) were more likely than women (6 percent) to give up more than 10 percent of their salary to receive more flexibility. The 18-to-34 group is three times more likely to give up more than 10 percent of their salaries for flexibility.
Other key finding showed that 77 percent of working fathers and 79 percent of working mothers would agree to stay with their company longer if it offered more flexible work options.
