Reid French was named the new chief executive officer of Applied Systems, an insurance software and services provider for insurance agencies and brokerages.
French succeeds James P. Kellner, who has served as chairman and CEO since 1998. Kellner was named non-executive chairman and remains a significant shareholder in the company, which is owned by private-investment firm Bain Capital.
As CEO, French will direct Applied Systems' business strategy, develop and foster client relationships, and oversee all daily operations. He also becomes a member of the board.
French most recently served as chief operating officer of Intergraph Corp.
