FM Global announced it has opened an insurance branch office in Madrid, Spain.
The Johnston, R.I.-based insurer said it is now writing local business through the Madrid office. The company has provided loss prevention engineering services to clients in Spain for nearly 30 years.
The firm says that the establishment of an insurance branch office will enhance its responsiveness to local clients' needs.
The mutual insurance company says its growth has followed that of its multinational clients who have rapidly expanded their global capabilities, leading the mutual insurer to provide its products and services in more than 130 countries.
