WAHVE names sales and marketing officer: Work at Home Vintage Employees LLC (WAHVE), announced that Bill Hunt joined the company as chief sales and marketing officer. Hunt previously served as a consultant for the LexisNexis Insurance Exchange.
IICF hires Chicago executive director: The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation named Kimberly Bourne Saccaro executive director of the Chicago/Midwestern Division. Saccaro will work with the Chicago Board of Directors and the foundation to grow and strengthen the region. S
Aon appoints CEO of Client Network: Christopher Baudouin has been promoted to chief executive officer of the Aon Global Client Network. He most recently served in a dual capacity as president and CEO of Aon Risk Solutions Mexico and COO of Aon Risk Solutions in Latin America. In his new role, he assumes responsibility for the international Aon Global Client Network team.
Hylant promotes two in Environmental Practice Group: Hylant Group has promoted two insurance professionals in its Environmental Practice Group. Don Bryant, vice president, has been promoted to practice leader of the Environmental Practice Group. Bruce Kranz, who led the expanding practice group for 11 years, was named senior vice president. They will both operate out of Hylant's Cleveland office.
Grange names president/CEO and CFO: Grange Insurance announced that Thomas Welch has been appointd president and CEO of the Columbus, Ohio-based insurance provider. Welch has been serving as interim president and CEO since January. Welch joined Grange Insurance in 2001 as president of the Grange Life Insurance Company. He was appointed chief financial officer in 2008. Succeeding Welch as chief financial officer is J. Paul McCaffrey. Prior to his promotion, McCaffrey served as Grange's vice president, finance and chief risk officer.

NFIB moves workers' comp into Ind., N.C., Va., Mo.: The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) extended discounted workers' compensation coverage benefits tgo its members in Indiana, North Carolina, Virginia and MIssouri through Employers. Employers currently offers NFIB members workers' compensation coverage in 10 states. Depending on the state, qualifying NFIB members are eligible to receive either a 5 percent discount or a 5 percent flat dividend on workers' compensation insurance policies with Employers.
5 Star gains general agency appointment with Canal: 5 Star Specialty Programs, a division of Crump Insurance Services Inc., and part of Crump Group Inc., today announced it has secured a general agency appointment with Canal Insurance Co. for several specific transportation segments. Under the agreement, 5 Star will now represent Canal to write designated classes of public auto risks, waste operations, as well as trucking. Coverage offered includes auto liability, physical damage, general liability and other statutory requirements such as uninsured/underinsured motorist. Canal is rated A (“Excellent”) by A.M. Best.
Markel partners with Burns & Wilcox, offers new real estate E&O: Markel Programs has partnered with Burns & Wilcox to offer a real estate errors & omissions program to a broad range of residential and commercdial real estate industry accounts. The product offers coverages including open house liability, network information and security offense to real estate agents, brokers and property managers. Additional target classes include leasing agents, broker price options, escrow agents, auctioneers, consultants, referral agents and business brokering. The program is non-admitted and available in most states.

IIABA New York offers education center: The Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of New York launched an online New Hire Training Center and partnership with CEU.com. The New Hire Training Center offers a curriculum package that includes: personal lines, commercial lines, commercial and personal lines and managers. Vertafore launches new products: Vertafore showcased multiple products at the 2011 Network of Vertafore Users (NetVU) Conference. Vertafore unveiled a corporate-wide user experience initiative, which includes the management system Sagitta 8.0, with initial availability in June. Also featured is AMS360 6.0, which will be available in late 2011. Users can connect with the system in many ways, including via mobile devices. The company also showcased WorkSmart Engage, Vertafore Identity Management and My Vertafore.
