Western World appointments: Western World Insurance Group names two second vice presidents. Bob Montone joined the company as second vice president of property claims. Montone comes to the company with 35 years of experience. Gregg Rentko joins the Brokerage Division as second vice president of underwriting and marketing. Rentko will oversee existing professional liability capabilities and future growth initiatives.

Markel appoints environmental director: John Termini has been named managing director for Markel's environmental product line. Termini most recently served as vice president, director of environmental liability for Aspen Specialty. He has more than 20 years of insurance experience.

Utico promotes Aquino: Mark A. Aquino has been promoted to regional manager-risk management department at the Utica National Insurance Group. He began his career with Utica National in 1983 as a claims representative. Prior to joining PCI, Bell spent over twenty years in private practice, providing legal counsel on complex tax issues to a myriad of corporate clients.

PCI names Michael Bell senior counsel, financial policy: The Property Casualty Insurers Assn. of America announced that Michael Bell has joined the Washington, D.C., office as the new senior counsel, financial policy in the policy development and research department. Prior to joining PCI, Bell spent over twenty years in private practice, providing legal counsel on complex tax issues to a myriad of corporate clients.

 

New Policies

Navigators, Landy partner: Navigators Management Co. expands its Professional Liability Division by partnering with Herbert H. Landy to provide E&O to real estate agents, brokers and appraisers. The program is available on a nationwide basis, effective June 1.

Hanover tackles amateur sports and fitness insurance: The Hanover Insurance Group introduces The Hanover Sports & Fitness Advantage. The new program is available for fitness and recreation sports centers, sports and recreation instruction, and amateur sports.

IICF launches in Chicago, Midwest: The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation launched a new Chicago/Midwestern division. Twelve companies operating in the Chicago area have committed to serving on the Chicago Board helping to launch and expand the Foundation. "Founder Circle" Board Members including representatives from ACE Group, CNA, McKinsey & Co., Willis Group Holdings and Zurich in North America, will be serving along with board members from Chubb, Dewey & LeBoeuf, Hub International, Lloyd's America, Lockton, Swiss Re and Wells Fargo Insurance Services.
