NEW YORK (AP) — American International Group Inc. said Thursday the ex-chairman of Granite Broadcasting Corp. and the chairman of Oak Street Management Co. LLC will stand for election to the company's board of directors.
W. Don Cornwell, 63, was chairman and CEO of Granite Broadcasting from 1988 until he retired in August 2009. He held the title of vice-chairman until December of that year.
He holds a seat on the board of Avon Products Inc. and Pfizer Inc.
In addition to being chairman of Oak Street, John H. Fitzpatrick, 54, serves on the board of Validus Holdings Ltd.
AIG shares slipped 20 cents to $35.50 in aftermarket trading Thursday after rising 11 cents to $35.70 during the regular session.
