MphasiS, an IT services provider, and Decision Research Corporation (DRC), a provider of rating and policy administration solutions for the property/casualty insurance industry, announced a joint marketing agreement to offer clients access to their respective technology and service offerings.
Under the terms of the agreement, the companies will co-market DRC's DecisionMaker Suite, a comprehensive policy administration solution, with MphasiS' implementation services, allowing carriers to better manage their core technology systems and provide extensive options for long term support.
DRC's DecisionMaker Suite is a modular, fully integrated end-to-end solution, comprising quote, policy, rating, billing, and claims which enable clients to acquire and manage large volumes of insurance policies on one central platform. The suite is already in use at a number of insurers for personal, commercial, and specialty lines.
The alliance will enable co-marketing of MphasiS' and DRC's products and services to new customers and markets and will initially focus on the expansion of each other's client base.
"As part of MphasiS' continued growth, we recently restructured to be more vertically aligned and focus more effectively on customer needs," says Ganesh Pai, senior vice president and head of insurance and mature geographies at MphasiS. "We're extremely excited about this partnership with DRC, as it enables us to grow our presence within the insurance industry and offer a more comprehensive range of pre-built, configurable solutions for our clients. Combining the breadth and depth of MphasiS' insurance expertise with DRC's product suite will allow us to deliver functionally rich solutions. As insurers are increasingly looking at replacing or transforming their existing core systems, we're confident our partnership will provide a compelling joint value proposition to our customers."
"With the improved global economic outlook and the heightened interest in DRC's product offerings from existing and new customers in the US and abroad, this is a perfect time for DRC to strengthen its existing alliance with one of the world's leading applications, BPO and outsourcing providers," says Karen Yamamoto, president of DRC. "In addition to being able to offer MphasiS' P&C client base with DRC's proven technology solutions, we see this alliance as a win-win for the P&C Insurance market as a whole. Together, we are investing to bring better solutions, better technology and more cost effective solutions to this market."
