The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA) has named Jennifer McPhillips senior director of federal government affairs.
She will serve as one of the association's Democrat lobbyists on the bipartisan Capitol Hill team, the association said.
Ms. McPhillips served as senior director of political affairs in charge of the IIABA's grassroots program and assisted with the management of the association's political action committee, InsurPac.
She joined IIABA in 2006 after working for Rep. Leonard Boswell, D-Iowa, and has moved up through the ranks of the association.
