StoneRiver announced the general availability of the latest version of URS, its reinsurance software.
The new release includes a Java-based user interface with business logic running on a J2EE application server. The N-tiered architecture and new technology improvements enhance operations and scalability as well as streamline the solution's multiple operating environments.
A new browser-based interface enables desktop administration of processing cycles in the system's all-Windows environment. These changes allow URS to be enhanced for use with additional databases and platforms, enabling insurers to access information more easily and efficiently.
