New York-based insurance broker Integro said it has acquired ReSource Intermediaries, Inc., a reinsurance advisory and brokerage firm.
Integro said San Francisco-based ReSource Intermediaries is a full service reinsurance broker with particular expertise in healthcare. The firm develops and implements reinsurance strategies for a client base that includes insurance companies; alternative risk entities such as captives and risk retention groups; managing general agencies and third party administrators.
"ReSource Intermediaries brings top-notch expertise and will complement Integro's existing capabilities, particularly in the healthcare and professional liability sectors, with a level of quality client service that mirrors our own," said Integro President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Garvey in a statement. "In addition, ReSource Intermediaries provides the infrastructure and licenses enabling Integro to begin operating immediately as a reinsurance broker in the United States."
ReSource Intermediaries will continue under the leadership of Bob Kennedy as president, Integro said.
