The CPCU Society officially elected Warren L. Farrar as its president and chairman at the group's 66th Annual Meeting and Seminars in Orlando, Fla.
Mr. Farrar is assistant vice president-claims for State Farm. He has served on the CPCU Society's board as interest group governor and on its audit committee, executive committee and governance overview board working group.
The following officers of the board were also elected:
o CPCU Society Vice President: David Medvidofsky becomes vice president. Heis assistant vice president of corporate strategy for The Main Street America Group in Jacksonville, Fla.
o Brian P. Savko continues his service on the board as secretary/treasurer. He isa team manager in State Farm's Murfreesboro, Tenn., office.
o Douglas J. Holtz isimmediate past president. He served as the CPCU Society's 2009-2010 president and chairman. He is a commercial underwriting consultant at the School Product Management Group of the Liberty Mutual Agency Markets in Indianapolis, Ind.
The following were elected as directors and will serve three-year terms:
o Gail D. Bundy, executive vice president of First Santa Fe Insurance Services and president of Bundy Holding Corporation in Albuquerque, N.M.
o Diana Van Horn, regional vice president of Unigard Insurance in Beaverton, Ore.
Additionally, Navdeep Arora is serving a one-year term from 2010 to 2011 as society at-large director by appointment of Mr. Farrar. He is a partner in the Chicago office of McKinsey & Company and the leader of the Service Operations and Insurance practices.
