Steve White was named chief actuary of reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC.
Mr. White assumes the role previously held by Don Mango, who was named head of Global Advisory.
In his new role, Mr. White will focus on enhancing Guy Carpenter's actuarial standards and will continue leading the overall development of MetaRisk, a risk and capital decision tool.
Mr. White will be based in Seattle and will report to Mr. Mango.
Prior to joining Guy Carpenter in 2000, Mr. White worked at Swiss Re. Prior to Swiss Re he worked at Allstate Re, after beginning his actuarial career at Allstate Research and Planning Center.
Guy Carpenter is a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, which also owns insurance broker Marsh.
